At the urging of the shadowy Committee, Kaworu Nagisa is sent to NERV as the Fifth Child, to replace the defeated Asuka Langley Souryu.
But during his flight to the battle-ruined city, Kaworu is given dossiers concerning NERV and its people. However, among the information he browsed and memorized, several pictures of Rei Ayanami came to his sight.
He was fascinated, wondering what was ticking in the First Child's mind.
And so here lies our tale of the fabled Children, and how their relationships will play out in the last seven days of NERV... Or so we thought...
