Awesome! I really like the final scene, because it comes as a bit of a surprise. It's kind of obvious what's happening to Shinji, but that last scene nicely shifts the focus to what happened before.

It also adds to the tragic darkness of this, that Shinji would finally say something so profound, and I know he meant it so don't say otherwise, and then never remember it, or be able to pluck up the courage to say it again, and even if he does, Asuka won't believe him.
